Paco, Mama, Mamita and Missy all were rescued from the street in Dorado. They are all sterilized but would need shots again when adopted. They're all very loving and get lots of affection. Missy and Mamita, they're very fond of each other.






Mamita: Medium size terrier-spaniel mix. Mamita (aka Mamacita) Small, blonde dog with docked tail. Mamita, is approximately 2 ½ years. She is a little nervous (skittish) and was possibly abused. Mamma: medium size collie-shepherd mix. Large female, Mama, is black and white. Mamma is about 2 1/2 years old now. She had a litter of 4 puppies before she was rescued from the streets in Dorando. Missy: medium (smaller that Mamma) size sheppherd mix. Missy is long-legged and slender. Her coat colors are black and tan with some white. She is somewhat a bit of an alpha dog, can jump about 5 feet straight up and run like a whippet. Her best friend is Mamita (aka Mamacita).To adopt or sponsor Missy e-mail Paula M. Lucky curly-haired chihuahua mix, small and has a slight limp. She was taken to Noah's Arc by a man who found her in front of a "colmado" (neighborhood grocery store) where she had been tossed into the air by a car. That's where the limp came from. The "rescuer" wanted her to have puppies and just requested Noah's Arc assistance with her shots. When "rescuer" was informed that Noah's Arc policy is to spay and neuter (sterilize) any dog, male or female brought to their care the "rescuer" never returned to pick little Lucky up. Paco is a black and tan small male, sort of a miniature Doberman, he is approximately 3 years old and very lovely in every way. Paco actually had belonged to a neighbor of Dorado (Paco was purchased as a pet and later abandoned on the street). When owner was identified and Noah's Arc offered to return him, original owner said she didn't want him back! He had been running in the street and chasing cars.  Nicolas aka Nicky is a purebred chocolate labrador. He is about 5 - 6 years old. He had heartworms when Noah's Arc rescued him from the street where a neighbor had simply put him out and refused to let him back in. Nicky was treated for the heartworm (hart worm is parasite that is transmitted by mosquito bites and is a very common parasite affecting dogs in Puerto Rico) and successfully recuperated and is now free of the parasite! Luquillo was rescued AND ADOPTED by a tourist in the beach town of Luquillo (North East Puerto Rico). The tourist from the Washington DC area picked up three satos (mixed breed dogs) from a drugstore parking lot. Luquillo is a town well known for their famous award wining Luquillo Beach, the El Yunque Caribbean Rainforest and the ritzy resort town of Fajardo where the five star El Conquistador Resort is located. This good Samaritan picked the strays from certain death on the streets of Puerto Rico and sponsored their rehabilitation in the hands of our network member Four Paws at a Time. Two of rescued satos have already traveled to Washington DC where their new “mommy” eagerly awaited them. This last cutie pie 'Luquillo' remained in foster care with Four Paws at a Time while been treated for his demodex mange. As soon as Luquillo fully recovered, he traveled to his adoptive mommy and his rescued street buddies!
